Building confidence to handle contentious issues in RE
The website for the REsilience programme has now been launched at www.re-silience.org.uk
Visit the site to sign up for a regular newsletter on the project and to register your interest in the programme when it rolls out.
• REsilience is a project being managed by the Religious Education Council of England and Wales on behalf of DCSF (England) and DCELLS (Wales). Its purpose is to help teachers of RE to build up their confidence in handling contentious issues. • REsilience is being rolled out to secondary schools from September 2010, and any schools or individual teachers interested in becoming involved can register this interest through the website. • There are also opportunities for qualified individuals to become REsilience mentors. Again it is possible to register interest in this kind of involvement through the website.'
